General Cancellation / Refund Policy
To maintain the integrity of our instructor's schedules, we have a firm 48-hour cancellation / refund policy for all lessons.
Cancellations must be announced in writing to the instructor (a text message or email is acceptable). If the request was made more than 48 hours in advance, a make-up lesson must be scheduled within two weeks of the originally scheduled lesson.
If the request was made less than 48 hours, please reference the following chart below:
More than 48 Hours Notice: Reschedule within 2 weeks
24-48 Hours Notice: 50% Refund of Original Lesson Price (not including processing fee)
Less than 24 Hours Notice: No Refund or Reschedule*
Cancellation / Refund Policy for Individuals in Semi-Private or Small Group Lessons
If an individual cannot attend a semi-private or small-group lesson – and the instructor is notified in writing 48 hours or more in advance – they will receive a partial refund to cover the increased rate of the other swimmers in the lesson. If notice is given 24-48 hours in advance, they will receive a 50% refund of the 48-hour partial refund, again to account for an increase of price for the other swimmers in the lesson. Please also note that refunds will not include the original processing fee.
*What if it is less than 24 hours and too late to reschedule my lesson?
While we cannot reschedule or refund a lesson less than 24 hours before the start of your originally scheduled lesson time, you are always welcome to find a substitute swimmer to take the lesson at the same location (private lessons only).
We know sometimes things come up, and we are not trying to be harsh. However, it is impossible to hire and maintain high-quality instructors when we cannot guarantee a consistent work schedule. Please understand that our instructors rely on their hours for their income.
Please Note: If the "substitute swimmer" is new to us, for liability purposes they will need to fill out the registration form before the lesson begins. The enrollment fee is waived for the substitute swimmer’s first lesson, but will be due prior to taking a second lesson with us (if applicable).
Inclement Weather + Instructor Cancellation Policy
If the instructor decides the weather is unsafe in your neighborhood (evidence of thunder, lightning, hard rain, etc.) or the instructor cannot attend (sudden illness, family emergency, etc.), your lesson will be rescheduled.
Because our summer season is so short, we do everything we can to get all lessons in as planned. Although rare, if we cancel on our end and it is not possible to reschedule, you will be refunded in full.
